10-11 week old yorkie problem with poop color

Can giving a 10-11 week old teacup yorkie too much of the NutriCal make them poop more than they should and cause some of it to be off color, like a yellowish mucus look and a bit watery maybe?

If so, what is a good amount to give them daily? and before or after meals? Thanks!

Hi Randy
It's possible that too much Nutrical could upset a puppy's tummy... too much anything could do that!

Puppy diarrhea or loose stools can be caused by all sorts of things from a change in diet, to illness. If your pup continues to have this problem I'd strongly recommend having your vet examine him to make sure that everything is okay.

As for how much nutrical to give him, I'd recommend just following the directions on the tube. Usually the recommended dosage is between 1 1/2 and 3 teaspoons per 10 lbs of body weight. You'll just have to do the math to figure out how much to give your pup as he will be less than 10 lbs.

Whether it's before, with, or after meals doesn't really matter as far as I know, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Hope this helps, best of luck with your puppy.
