2, 1 year old male yookie poos not eating/drinking/peeing/pooping

We adopted 2 male (brothers) yorkie poos from a home breeder last night. It has been over 24 hours, one has pooped, but that's it.

They both are updated on shots and they have been treated with Frontline in the last 3 days.

I have no idea what to do.

Hi
I know that this can be worrying, especially if it's your first experience as a puppy owner, but actually what you describe is fairly normal and I don't think you need to worry.

For the first few days, or even a week or more, a puppy or dog is often stressed and sad after a move to a new home. They're also anxious. It's a big change after all, and the older the pup the more difficult the transition and the longer this adjustment period may be.

You can read all about what to expect on my Bringing Home A New Puppy page.

As your two are one year old they will take a little while to settle in I expect, most likely they've just lost the only home and family they can remember and that's scary for them. All you need to do is to give them love and attention, but allow them their own 'space' so that they can get familiar with all the new people and places at their own pace.

As there are two of them they will at least have something familiar and hopefully this will help them settle in more quickly. Don't force attention on them but be loving and patient and they will soon be feeling much more at home I'm sure.

Hope this helps, I wish you all the very best of luck as a new family.
