Small chi pup has white discharge from his nose. He is smaller than the others.
He eats and he is a little slow moving. He likes water and mush... I plan on taking him to a vet this week ....just wanted some insight on what it could be?
Hi
At 2 weeks old this little one should be nursing from mom and is too young to be weaned and trying to drink water or eat any kind of solid food. If he's not being fed by him momma, then bottle feeding using a proper puppymilk formula is the best option.
If he has mucus coming out of his nose it could be that he has an infection of some sort, or a defect in his palate that is allowing him to inhale some of his milk/food.
If he's slower and smaller than the others he may be the 'runt' of the litter, or he could be sick, or have a developmental or physical abnormality.
I can only recommend that you take him to your veterinarian right away and have him checked out thoroughly. If there is a problem the sooner you get it figured out the faster you can get it taken care of. Little puppies can get very sick, very fast, so I strongly suggest having him seen by a vet asap.
Sorry I couldn't help more, but this is one that needs some 'hands-on' help. Best of luck, hope he is doing much better soon.
