3 week old orphaned puppies with loose diarrhea like poop and flaky pads

Rescued some orphan puppies under a trailer. Mom was hit by a car when pups were a few days old. Litter of 8 pups, 4 have died in the past 2 days. PUPPIES just turned three weeks old today.

Pups have been on 2 different types of formula due to availability at store. Puppies have very loose poop and their pads look like they have a rash. The rash looks like the pads are peeling. All the puppies have had same symptoms (even the ones that died). Is there anything I can do for them?

It sounds as if these poor little guys have had a rough start in life and they really need to be examined by a veterinarian to find out what is causing their problems.

The loose stools could be caused by parasites such as puppy worms or the tiny coccidia organisms. Your vet can give these pups the right medication if either of these are the problem.

The peeling pads could be due to an infection of some sort, possibly a yeast infection, or a genetic or breed-specific skin problem. Again your vet can get this taken care of for you.

I strongly recommend getting these little guys to your own vet just as soon as you can so that they don't die the way their siblings have. I wish you lots of luck and hope that you are able to save the remaining puppies.
