4 mo. old puppy was welted rash covering his hind legs, he is loosing his hair in places

I was thinking it was fleas or something but there are no signs of them on him or in our house.

The only way I can describe the welts all over his legs, under his arms and kinda around his belly is that they kinda look like old flea bites.

They hurt him when I touch it and he itches like CRAZY! I changed his diet to Science Diet and bought him oatmeal puppy shampoo and taking him to the vet tonight.

These welts could be caused by dog allergies of some sort, fleas are one possibility.

It could also be a reaction to dust/pollen, cleaning products, grass, or even dog food allergies.

There are also certain skin conditions such as Mange in dogs that can cause rashes, itching and hair loss.

Your vet should be able to make a diagnosis and figure out what to do to treat the problem and relieve your pups' discomfort.
