4 month old puppy keeps coughing

My 4 month old shitzu keeps coughing. She has been to the Dr 4 times and given medicine and nothing has helped.

I'm afraid I'm not a veterinarian and I can't tell you what's going on with your pup. You need to talk to your vet and find out what he/she is diagnosing, and what medications are being given. If they're not working, you need to try something else.

Kennel Cough is fairly common and is a viral illness which can cause coughing, sneezing etc. Even with medications for secondary infection, this can take a few weeks to clear up, but I've no idea if that's what your pup is suffering from.

If you're not happy with the treatment your pup is getting, it's always okay to seek a second opinion. Best of luck, hope she's doing much better soon.
