Why is it that after my 5 week old puppy eats she shakes and whines repeatedly?

Eating can be a very intense experience for a young puppy and they can get very excited about the whole thing.

That can lead to eating too much, too fast, which makes them feel not-so-good (imagine how you feel if you eat until you're ready to explode!). It's possible that this is the problem.

If she eats very quickly and basically gulps down her food, I'd recommend getting a Brake-Fast Dog Food Bowl as these are designed to help slow down 'gobblers'!

She's still very young and if you've only just got her it could be that she's just generally anxious and homesick. She really should still be with her momma and litter mates at this age.

If you don't think this is the problem then I'd recommend having your vet check out your puppy to make sure that she's healthy and everything is okay.
