5week old puppy is the runt and i think she is sick......

I have had her and her sister for 2 days they had been on canned food for a day before I got them so I was told.

The bigger one is fine but the runt just started laying around today moans and whimpers when she moves or when I pet her and tonight she threw up whole peices of her food about 10hrs after eating.

And her poop was formed and this evening it was diarrhea. She also whimpers and shakes in her sleep.

You need to get this puppy to your veterinarian right away. What you're describing isn't normal and she's most definitely not well.

With puppies of this age it could quite easily be one of the common, contagious dog illnesses that they are at risk of contracting before they are fully vaccinated. Of course it could also be a number of other things.

These little guys should have still been with their momma, they're much too young to be on their own. It puts them at greater risk of illness, disease and so on. But, now they are with you and this little girl needs your help!

Young puppies can get sick very fast, so speed is of the essence here. Get her to your vet immediately so that he can find out what is wrong and get any treatment started if necessary. They will both also need to be started on their puppy shots.

If what she has is contagious, the other puppy is also at risk so she will need to be examined as well to make sure she's okay.
