6 month old spayed puppy frequently squatting to pee

My 6mo old spayed puppy has recently started squatting to pee every few minutes while outside.

She is urinating regularly but every few minutes while playing outside will squat and try to pee. Most of the time nothing comes out but a few drops but she continues to try.

She seems happy but I am just a bit worried about this new behavior.

I would have your veterinarian check her out just to be on the safe side.

The behavior you describe could possibly be due to a urinary tract infection, which may require antibiotic treatment.

It could also be related to the recent surgery, and may well settle down by itself.

Only your vet can determine whether there is a problem, but I would definitely recommend getting her evaluated as a precaution.
