7 day old westie with bumpy skin?

I have a new litter of Westies. They are seven days old. One puppy's hair has begun to show ridges.

On closer inspection it looks like the skin is bumpy over her whole body... What could this be.

She is nursing well and all seems fine. Littermates hair is notably smoother... ???

I think this is a question for your veterinarian as it's going to be necessary to take a close look at this puppys' skin, and possibly some tests, to find out what is going on.

Allergies or skin conditions such as Mange can cause skin bumps/lumps and hair loss, but I've not heard of it causing the skin to develop 'ridges'.

The fact that she's nursing well and seems healthy otherwise is good, but I'd definitely recommend having your vet examine her so that you can find out what is causing this problem.
