My pug hasn't eaten at all today, not even treats. He's been throwing up a clear white mucus.
He's also really lethargic. What could be going on here?
Hi Cassie
If your pup is up to date with all his puppy shots and hasn't gotten into something toxic, then it could simply be that he's eaten something that didn't agree with him!
Puppies have a tendency to do that. Or perhaps you've changed his diet? Short-lived vomiting (maybe 2 or 3 times, over a period of 12 hours) and lethargy can be triggered by something very simple such as getting into the trash can.
However, repeated vomiting combined with lethargy and often accompanied by diarrhea, can also signal some serious dog illnesses, or even dog poisoning. If your pup doesn't seem to be improving within a few hours, or the vomiting gets worse etc., then please get him veterinary help right away.
Vomiting and/or diarrhea can cause dehydration pretty quickly, and the sooner you get to the bottom of the problem the better.
I wish you the best of luck and hope your little guy is doing much better soon.
