My new pup keeps walking around in circles crying, and getting stuck in corners and just keeps walking and growling.
She is 7 weeks old, what is the problem?
Hi
It sounds as though your puppy is scared and stressed! If she's only just left her momma and litter mates and you've brought her into your home then that's not surprising. It's a huge change for a puppy, after all she's just a tiny baby.
Puppies can go through a period of 'homesickness' when they first arrive and there are a variety of behaviors that they'll exhibit during this time. I'd recommend that you visit my Bringing Home A New Puppy page as it has lots of tips and advice to help you understand what's going on and help your new puppy settle into her new home.
If she seems to be healthy apart from her strange behavior then she will likely stop behaving this way once she feels more at home.
It is always advisable to take a new pup to your own veterinarian within 24 - 48 hours of bringing them home though. That way you can be sure that she's healthy and that there are no underlying health issues to be concerned about. You can also get her started on her puppy shots and preventative care.
Hope this helps, best of luck with your new puppy.
