9 week old Pomeranian

I got my puppy about a week ago. When she drinks anything, she begins to sneeze it out of her nose. When she starts sneezing, white bubbles and water come out of her nose. After she calms down, she seems to be having trouble breathing through her nose and lays down. Is there something wrong?

She also has started dragging her butt across the floor to the point to where her butt is raw and pink. I've made sure to wash any dried poop from her fur and check to make sure she doesn't have worms. Neither is the case. She's on dry puppy food that I soak in water for a few minutes to make it soft. Her poop is real thin and kind of soft. Any suggestions?

I'd definitely recommend that you have your pup examined by your veterinarian to make sure that there's no palate problem or any other ENT-type problem that's causing her to sneeze and inhale her water. It could just be puppy clumsiness, but it's best to check it out thoroughly as inhaling water into her lungs could result in pneumonia.

As for her scooting her butt across the floor, it could be that she has worms (they're not always visible to the eye), or her anal sacs could be full. Or it could be that the loose stools are causing irritation and inflammation around her anus which is making it uncomfortable. Your vet should be able to tell you what's causing the problem, so make her an appointment as soon as you can.
