Adult size estimate for a 8 week old pomeranian puppy
I got a male pom that weighs 1lb and is 8 weeks old.
How big will he get if his mom is 5lb and dad is 4lbs?
There's no way to tell for sure how big any individual puppy will get by maturity because there can be a huge variation, even within purebred puppies - or within specific litters.
But, generally a puppy will reach a weight somewhere between that of his/her parents, with female puppies being closer to the mom's weight and male puppies being closer to the dad's weight.
So the best guess you can make is that your pup will weigh somewhere between 4 and 5 lbs when he's mature... but it's only an estimate.
There are other ways that you can estimate adult size of a puppy, although none of them can do more than give you guidelines.
You can learn more about this on my Puppy Weight Estimates page, also you may want to check out my Puppy Weight Charts.
Just make sure you feed your pup a premium puppy food designed for small breed puppies (see my Best Puppy Food Choices page for more on this, and that he gets the best possible veterinary attention, including preventative care such as puppy shots and parasite prevention. That way he will grow into his full, individual, potential and have a long, happy, healthy life.
Hope this helps, best of luck with your puppy.
