American Pit Bull question

While taking my Pit Bull for a walk, I noticed there was a white foamy substance on the sides of both his nostrils.

What is that? Is it bad?

As long as your dog doesn't seem to be having difficulty breathing, or seem stressed when walking, then I wouldn't worry too much about this.

This is sort of like sweating and often happens to dogs when they're walking fast, playing hard or are upset, anxious or over-excited.

Just make sure that you exercise/walk your dog during the cooler parts of the day, and don't overdo it, especially with a puppy or older dog. And also ensure he has plenty of fresh water available to drink at all times.

However, if he seems to have difficulty walking, or gets anxious, stressed, out of breath etc., then have your vet examine him to be safe. Best of luck.
