belgian malinois

by char
(canada)

good day!

i have a belgian malinois and she is now 4 months and with a height of 16 inches. I wanna know if it is accurate for a 4 month malinois? Is she normal, haha.

I wanted to know if she is small or big for her height. When she was 2 month old i have her weigh and that time she weigh 10 lbs. I havent weigh here yet but she is quite heavy. Pls help. I want her to be just right for her breed.

thanks!

Hi Char
It's difficult to say exactly where your pup falls within the 'normal' range right now, puppies are very individual and grow at widely different rates.

As a fairly large dog your puppy will grow pretty rapidly, but will not reach adult size or proportion until around 18 months or so. She will get her height first, and then add weight, so she may seem a bit scrawny or out of proportion for some time to come.

Weighing 10lbs at two months is about right, and as an adult female Malinois should reach somewhere between 22 and 24 inches at maturity, I would say she's doing fine for right now.

Just make sure that she gets a good quality puppy food so that her body gets all the nutrition it needs.

best of luck with her.
