i wake up this am and see on the floor a pile of stool with blood in it then i look around more and there is more spots of mucusy blood.... so i check my puppy and she has blood around her anus... showing no signs of pain tho...

my assumption of this is maybe worms but i gave her worm medication last month..idk what to do

Hi Angela
Blood and mucus in the stool is a sign of inflammation/irritation and there are all sorts of possible causes for this.

It could be that she's eaten something that has really upset her tummy, or it could be worms, or an infection or illness. It's impossible for me to tell.

I'd strongly recommend that you check out my Puppy Diarrhea page as it has lots of information and advice that will help you to decide whether or not this is likely to be a 'one off' tummy upset, or whether she is sick and needs to be seen by a veterinarian.

However, if she continues to have bloody stools, or they become more watery or more frequent, you will need to get her veterinary attention quickly.

Best of luck, hope she's doing much better soon.
