blue heeler mix, sudden change in behavior, dizziness, trouble walking

My 1 year old blue heeler mix was fine last night, full of energy and spunk, running around playing with my husky, when I woke up today she is now extremely lethargic, not very playful, coupled with her seeming to have balance problems or maybe weakness in her hind legs, she 'wobbles' while sitting, mainly just her head and does the same while lying down with her head up, and her eyes seem dull and unfocused.

But she can definitely focus we played a bit of fetch and she had no trouble chasing down a ball aside from her trouble walking/running, her drinking habits have changed recently, she hasn't been drinking much, so I'm wondering if maybe she's become dehydrated, but I can't get her to drink anything, but she'll scarf down food like it's her last meal like always, lol,

thank you for the help

Hi Andrew
Any sort of change in behavior like this needs to be evaluated by a vet and I'd strongly recommend that you have your dog examined asap.

These symptoms could have a neurological basis, or it could be an infection or some other condition. Only a vet could make an accurate diagnosis and she definitely needs to be seen right away.

If she won't/can't drink dehydration could cause serious problems quite quickly, so this is a situation that needs to be treated quickly.

Hope this helps and that she's doing much better soon.
