boston terrier puppy with swollen belly

i have a four month old boston terrier every time she eats her belly swells. what is wrong with her?

I'm afraid I'm not a vet and I can't say for sure what is causing your puppys' belly to swell up when she's eating.

It could be that if she's a 'chow hound' (ie gobbles all her food down very fast) that she's swallowing a lot of air and that is distending her belly.

Or it could be that she has worms. If she's not been regularly dewormed by your veterinarian this is a real possibility.

Other than those two simple suggestions, I'm afraid I really can't say what is going on. I would recommend that you have her examined by your veterinarian and explain your concerns to him/her.

That way you can get a definitive diagnosis and put your mind at rest.
