Boxer puppy makes a wierd sound

My boxer puppy makes a sound like a party horn almost.

She doesn't usally gag but i notice it happens when she is worked up mostly. She seems fine but i was wanting to know if this is normal for boxer pups.

Boxers are a breed who have a shortened muzzle and this can cause snoring, noisy breathing and other things. This 'party horn' noise is likely related to that.

The fact that it happens when she's excited or worked up makes me think that it's because she's breathing heavily or fast and the sound is a result of air is being forced through her nasal passages.

I doubt that it's anything to be too concerned about if she is happy and healthy otherwise and doesn't have difficulty breathing. However, I'm not a vet and I would definitely recommend asking your own vet about this so that he can check to make sure it's not anything that could cause problems, or need treatment.
