Boy puppy has blood stained discharge

Our 16 week boy pup has begun to have a blood stained discharge after he wees.

He is happy no pain. eats normal etc. Should we worry?

This is something that you really ought to have a veterinarian take a look at. As your puppy is eating, drinking and acting normally, it's not an emergency/urgent situation, but it does need to be seen to.

The blood could be actually in his urine, possibly signaling a urinary tract infection, or it could be caused by irritation in his urethra.

Your veterinarian should have no problem figuring it out and starting whatever treatment is necessary. I would call him/her tomorrow and set up an appointment. You don't want to wait really as an untreated UTI can lead to kidney infection.
