Brief whine before falling asleep

My 14 week old Siberian Husky tends to let out a whine lately just before falling asleep - it is as if he is hurting?

Could this be a teething issue, could he be in pain or is this normal?

Hi Dawna
It's impossible to say for sure why he does this, but if this is the only time he whines in this way then chances are it's not because he's in pain.

He may just be releasing any tension that has built up before he falls asleep, or it may simply be a habit.

However, I'm not a veterinarian, and I would suggest that you have your vet give your pup a check up just to make sure there's no underlying health condition that could be causing him pain or distress. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but if your vet gives him a 'clean bill of health' then I wouldn't worry about this little 'quirk'. Best of luck with your pup.
