bubble in eye of 7 week puppy

My 7 week old female lab pup appeared to be fine and then all of a sudden I looked at her one morning and a bubble appeared by her eye.

What would cause this?

I'm not sure exactly where this 'bubble' is, or what it looks like, but I think the only way to find out what's going on is to have your pup examined by your vet.

If the bubble is actually ON her eyeball, it's possible that she's damaged/injured it in some way, or she has some type of eye infection. In that situation you need to have your vet take a look asap as damage to the eye itself could cause her to lose her sight.

If it's on the eyelid or skin around the eye it could be a pimple or blister. In this case, if there's only one, and it's not bothering her or affecting her eyesight, you could probably leave it for a day or two and see if it disappears on it's own. But if it doesn't, or if more bubbles appear, then she needs to be seen by a vet.

It's always better to be safe than sorry with pups, so if you're concerned talk to your vet. Best of luck, hope this clears up soon.
