Carlin Pinscher

Can you give me or direct me to a carlin pinscher breeder in Canada. I am looking for a puppy and am having a hard time finding a reliable breeder.

Hi Roxanne
This is a fairly new breed, a hybrid, and I'm not terribly familiar with it I'm afraid.

There probably won't be a lot of breeders to choose from yet, so you probably won't find one close enough for you to actually go and see the puppies and parents. The internet is going to be your best tool, and it's perfectly possible to buy a puppy from the opposite side of Canada, or from the US and have it shipped to you. Of course, there is the possibility of being scammed or duped, but if you do your research, physically talk to the breeder (not just email communication) and get references from previous purchasers of a breeders' pups, you should be able to make a good choice.

Here in the US there is an organization devoted to the Carlin Pinscher, it's website is located at www.carlinpinscher.org I would suggest starting there. Puppyfind.com is a good source for finding puppies online, but you'll need to follow the guidelines above.

If possible choose a breeder who gives you a health contract/guarantee and whose breeding dogs have been screened for any genetic illnesses/defects associated with this breed.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but hope this gets you started and I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Good Day, I would like to let anyone know that I am a new breeder located in Calgary, Alberta. My first litter of F1 Carlin Pinchers will be due in the new year 2011. This is an exciting new breed. They are smart, well balanced, easy going and loyal dogs. They adjust very well to their environment what ever that may be. This breed is very easy to care for, perfect for people who don't want to "fuss" to much. I believe this breed will become very popular in Canada as it is in the US. As this breed is still fairly new, with any new puppy you decide to add to your family research is always the best. There are some great pages on the internet about this breed and as I did before I decided to start breeding these wonderful little dogs I did LOTS of homework.
Good luck in your quest...

I just recently purchased a Carlin Pinscher puppy from the States. I live in Alberta, Canada but was able to get the puppy shipped right to me. www.minpin-bloodhound-pug-puppies.com is where I got her from. I reccomend this breeder to anyone looking to purchase a Carlin. She was great to deal with and cares so much about her pups. I also LOVE my baby Carlin, she's just a pleasure to have around, very smart & easy to train. You will pay a extra fee to get the pup into Canada but it's worth every penny. Good luck & I hope your able to get your Carlin as they are wonderful little animals! :)

Cheers
