Chihuahua pup who is gagging /sneezing?

chihuahua, 6 months old, she is sneezing, hacking coughing and almost throwing up but doesn't.

she does this several times a day but doesn't seem sick....

If your puppy seems perfectly healthy in every other way and isn't showing any signs of dog illnesses then it's possible that what you're seeing is 'reverse sneezing'.

This is most often seen in small breeds who have shortened muzzles (such as pugs, bulldogs and so on), but it can happen in puppies of any breed/size.

It sounds like a cross between a cough and a sneeze, and although it may look violent it really isn't dangerous!

You can sometimes stop an attack of reverse sneezes by putting two fingers gently over the pup's nostrils for a few seconds, or by holding his muzzle closed and gently stroking his throat - again only for a few seconds.

However, if this doesn't work, he shows any other signs of illness, or even if you're just still worried, then I'd recommend getting him to your veterinarian for a check up.

It's always better to be safe than sorry with puppies!
