chihuahuas umbilical hernia is leaking clear liquid

My Chihuahua has an umbilical hernia that appears to be leaking a clear liquid.

Is this an emergency?

I haven't personally seen this happen, and I'm afraid I'm not a veterinarian... but in my personal opinion I would say that you should have a veterinarian examine your pup right away.

Umbilical hernias are pretty common in puppies, but they shouldn't leak fluid. That's NOT common, and it's better to be safe than sorry, so have your vet take a look asap.
