Constipation in English Bulldog pup

My 2 month old english bulldog puppy has only went to the bathroom once today.

Usually she goes several times a day. The last time she did use the bathroom it looked hard like rabbit pellets. What should I do?

Hi
Constipation is a problem that puppies can have, and isn't terribly unusual.

The first thing to do when a pup is showing signs of constipation is to increase the amount of exercise the pups is getting, and increase the amount of water she/he is she is drinking. That helps to keep the digestive system moving along.

There are other simple things you can do to help a pup overcome occasional constipation and I'd recommend that you check out my A Constipated Puppy page. It has all the tips and advice you need to get her 'regular' again.

Best of luck with your pup.

hi have you tried baby food pureed pumpkin(jar)?
Also, when my last dog he was older had this I used a natural remedy and it worked wonders almost immediately vet said it wouldn't hurt him in anyway either..
Pure Aloe Vera juice..I had also seen this on D.r Oz to use a s a remedy for adults with thias problem..may consider givng it a try it is tasteless and all you do is add a little bit to their drinking water. I think I added about 2 Tbls. to about 4 C. water the first time, then increased(doubled) until he finally went.
good luck I hope this helps your puppy get some relief, as we know this isn't fun! ):
