Constipation in puppy

My puppy is constipated and appears to have hemorrhoids.

Puppies and dogs can get constipated from time to time, and it's especially common in the tiny/toy breeds.

For fairly minor bouts of constipation there are a few things that you can try which may alleviate the problem. You can learn about these on my A Constipated Puppy page.

However, if your pup has hemorrhoids or seems to be in pain or distress, I would recommend a visit to your vet - or at the very least call your vet and discuss the situation with them. He may feel it necessary to examine your pup etc.
