Dale & Bristol
My name is Jenn and I live in Pembroke Pines, FL since getting into my new house I wanted either a cat or a dog and I am a shelter person I believe you should get your animal from a shelter or humane society before you go and purchase your future family member.
I was looking at all the different shelter sites looking for that perfect baby. My birthday was March 17th and the Friday before, my husband called and told me that there were all these puppies in a field at a stop he had to go to. The mom was old (she should not be having puppies) and the puppies were everywhere so I told him to go look and if he saw one he liked to grab him/her. Little did I know the shape they were going to be in when they arrived.
My husband arrived with 2 Labs one black and one brown they were dirty, skinny, their tongues and gums were white from not having enough water, they were shaking and scared, but that is only the start of their story. When I got them home I started to look them over they had fleas everywhere and they had worms. I found out that they were living in the dirt between 2 pallets and their food bowl was a small cat bowl that was filled with dirt not food their only means of shelter were plant bowls turned on their side!
They did not know how to drink or eat out of their bowl I got down on the floor and showed them how. In the 4 days that they have been with me I have watched them change dramatically they are happy! and they are truly turning into puppies running and causing havok around every turn. Their life now consists of tons of hugs, kisses, food, water and constant love.
I love them so much that I take them everywhere I go I even sleep on the floor with them. I cannot believe how much I love them I couldn't bear the thought of them not being with me or my husband ever.
The one message I want to get across is please don't let your babies have babies. There are far too many animals out there that will never know the love I feel for my babies. Love your babies and keep them close, and if you see something bad report it!
Go to the shelter and give one of them a chance that is all they need.
