Thanks so much for your answer, I really appreciate it. But I have a problem that you or someone else might have a solution for.
We already have another dog - a two-year old. She and the puppy get along great but they both always want what the other has. So if I try to feed one something and the other another thing - well, they end up eating the wrong thing. I ended up putting the older dog back on the puppy food because I figured there was nothing there to hurt her.
I've tried separating them when they eat but then all they do is stare at me or at one another and don't eat anything until they're side by side again. ARGH!
I love it that they like one another but you can see how this makes it difficult to feed a special diet to one. Any ideas?
