hi i have a 2 mouth old yorkshire puppy and he seems really disoriented and confused as if he's looking for something that not present, and is falling a lot with no balance almost.
any one have any idea what this could be.thanks
Hi Tomika
It sounds as though your pup may be suffering from hypoglycemia which is blood sugar levels that are too low.
It's most often seen in small and tiny breed pups and dogs, because they have tiny tummies and very fast metabolisms which can lead to blood sugar dips.
Try giving him a little Karo syrup and see if that helps him to perk up. It's important to feed him often so that his blood sugars remain more stable, feed him four times a day at this age.
If you don't see any improvement in him then you need to have him seen by your vet right away as blood sugar that drops too low can cause seizures, or even death.
Also, if feeding him more often doesn't prevent this from happening again, take him to your vet for more advice.
Hope this helps, best of luck with your little pup.
