Dog Has Loss of Appetite and Hair Loss

It is a one year old male Chihuahua.

He has a loss of appetite, weight loss, hair loss, restlessness (wants to sleep a lot), but we put some flea medicine on him and a couple days later he became ill.

Hi
I'd strongly recommend that you take your dog to your veterinarian for a full examination. The symptoms you describe indicate that there's something wrong and it needs to be diagnosed and treated before it gets worse.

This may be related to the flea medication that you used. I always warn against using over-the-counter flea products as they can have unwanted side effects. Occasionally these side effects can cause serious problems.

Of course, it could just be a coincidence and your dogs health problems could stem from something totally unrelated.

Only your vet can make that diagnosis and I'd recommend getting your dog examined asap.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that your little guy makes a full, and speedy, recovery.
