Dog with sore leg and fast breathing

by laura

My puppy was limping but is how laying in his bed and is breathing quite fast. What should I do?

Hi Laura
If your pup doesn't improve quickly, you'll need to have a vet take a look at him.

Rapid breathing can signal pain, shock, distress, anxiety or a number of other things. If he's injured his leg it could be a combination of these.

Only a vet can make an accurate diagnosis so if he isn't his old self very soon, get him checked out.

Best of luck, hope he's doing much better soon.

POORLY PUPPY
by: dancingfox

Firstly..a puppy should be at least 8 weeks old before being taken away from mother.
Secondly your puppy needs to got to the vets. No excuse about not having enough money! If you take on the responsibility of having a living, feeling creature then you should be able to afford to keep it happy and healthy. If you can't...DONT have a puppy..sorry but thats the bottom line!

My dog is doing the exact same thing right now. I have no idea how it happened ..but she is only a month old . She is limping from her back right leg ,and is breathing fast laying on her bed. I called my Animal Hospital and left a message I am taking her straight to the vet in the morning with appointment or not. After tomorrow..I will come back here and post what the vet said so others like me and you know what mite be happening with their baby (puppy).I just hope she turns out to be just fine!.

Word of advice though wile your puppy is laying down ..what Ive been doing is I am feeding her on her bed little by little ,and giving her water. She is eating and drinking just fine. So don't let your dog just lay there without feeding it. :/ I am worried about my pup indeed.
