fever from cutting teeth

My 8 week old lab/mountain kur mix is cutting her first teeth - she chews on my fingers and her nose and belly seem warm.

could she be running a fever from it?

Hi
Yes, it's possible. Some puppies run a low-grade fever when they're teething - just like some human babies do. However, it really shouldn't be enough to make her feel unwell. If she does seem sickly in any way I'd recommend taking her to your vet to make sure there's nothing else going on.

You can buy special 'teething' toys for puppies, or make your own by soaking face flannels in cold water, wringing them out and popping them in the freezer for a few hours. A Kong toy stuffed with Peanut Butter and frozen is also good, and many puppies love to play with an ice cube or two. Just make sure she has plenty of Indestructible Dog Toys to keep her teeth busy and she should be fine!
