Fleas!!

My house is surrounded by dogs on all sides of the fence so we have always had problems with fleas & ticks. We began using K-9 advantix on my dogs but now Maggie (my baby) is nursing and I can not use these chemicals on her.

I have noticed fleas on the 3 1/2 week old pups as well now and I don't know what to use on them. I try and comb them but this does not seem to work. I am afraid they might end up getting ticks one day and would like to try and prevent this from happening.

Any suggestions on treatment and prevention?? HELP!!

Of course fleas also inhabit bedding, carpets, soft furnishings etc., so it's important to wash all bedding etc. in hot water and treat the surrounding areas/hard floors etc. with a flea spray. I'd recommend asking your vet for advice there.
