My 5 1/2 month old female chihuahua has had her all shots and blood test came up normal. For 5 days she has been vomiting several times a day.
She has lots of energy, eats and drinks normally, solid poops normal amount of urine, does not seem tired all the time.
I don't know what the problem might be. Any ideas?
Hi
Sorry to hear about the trouble your pup is having. It sounds as though you've already had a vet look at her and run some tests, so I'm afraid he's going to be in a much better position to tell you what is going on than I am.
If there's no clear sign of what's causing her to vomit, perhaps it's an intolerance to an ingredient (or several ingredients) in her food, dog food allergies and sensitivities are quite common.
Or it could be an enzyme deficiency, IBS or other conditions. If she continues to vomit and your vet isn't able to give you a diagnosis, don't be afraid to seek a second opinion.
Luckily your girl seems happy and healthy apart from this issue, but it's not normal to vomit in this way and a vet should be able to get to the bottom of the problem.
I wish I could be more help, but I'm afraid you need someone with 'hands-on' experience to figure this one out. Best of luck, hope she's doing better soon.
