My 5 month old APBT front paws points in an outward direction, could this be the cause of too much protein.
He is growing very rapidly and currently weighs 55lbs.
Hi
These type of pups grow so quickly that an imbalance in their diet can cause bone, joint and skeletal problems.
Feet and legs that are bowed, or mis-shapen can be a result of this. If his feet weren't this way when he was very young, chances are good it's a dietary problem.
I'd advise you to check out this website page... Articles by The Great Dane Lady as there is tons of info. there on how to feed large breeds. Also, check out the Feed Programs For Knuckling Over page as there is specific advice here that can help.
Best of luck.
