fur falling out

Hi,
I have a 2 puppies at 3 week old. One of the puppies fur is falling out.
Please advise.

I'm afraid I'm not a vet and I can't say why your puppys' hair is falling out, the best thing to do is to take him to your own vet for an examination.

Hair loss can be caused by things such as allergies but in such a young puppy I'm thinking that's probably not what's going on here.

Another common cause of thinning hair or bald spots is Mange, and this is more likely I think. Check out my Mange In Dogs page to learn more about this skin condition, then get your pup professionally evaluated by a vet, so that you can find out what's wrong and get him the right treatment.
