God's Gift to Me...Jack!

by Molindia

My beautiful Jack

My beautiful Jack

Hello everyone. My name is Molindia and I live in a small town in N.W. Tennessee. My husband and I live alone. Almost Six years ago, I became disabled. Shortly thereafter, I was given Maggie,a {Cocker/shi-tzu mix}.

Two years later she had pups and by different fathers I might add... We ended up with two of them. One male{Chubby} and one felmale {Sassy}. We had to rescue the female from being physically abused.

One year later I rescued the neighbors dog. He had been left for days without food. I would go over after dark and feed the dog. He is an {Australian Shepherd}, Ringo is his name. I brought the poor thing home with me and it was almost a week before anyone noticed he was gone. After we had a talk, they decided to give me the dog. He has gained weight and is now clear of the heart worms that he had. That treatment was difficult and expensive. The previous owner saw Ringo last week and commented on how good he looks and mentioned how his little girl would like to have him back.. I told him to let her come visit anytime. And she has.

Now about my darling Jack. I had pneumonia this past March on my birthday. So when I had my doctor's visit, I went by the shelter and saw the pups outside. There was Jack and his brother. I sat them both on the ground and called them. Jack came to me.

The lady at the shelter said a Forest Ranger brought them in, during the week long ice storm we had. {Someone had placed them in a box outside with no water or food.} Jack was 8 weeks old then.Oh, did I tell ya? {Jack is a full blooded GOLDEN RETRIEVER!}. A light golden. I couldn't be happier either! I have always wanted a Golden but couldn't afford one.

That's why I say Jack is God's gift to me. Thanks for being the beautiful people yall are!
