hair loss around injured area in puppy

My cat scratched my tea cup yorkie on the head, that scratch became infected and abscessed. She had a large bulge on her head for a few days.

Then it drained pussy fluid for the last couple of days. Now that area has lost it's hair. will her hair grow back?

I would imagine that the hair would grow back in this area as the damage wasn't permanent. However, if there's scar tissue to any great degree then those particular pieces of skin will likely not regrow hair.

It's fortunate for your puppy that the infection cleared up without treatment and it sounds as though there are no long-term after effects other than the hair loss which is good.

It may take some time for the hair to grow back in, you will just need to see what happens. However, the fact that she's happy and healthy again is the most important thing and I'm glad it turned out that way.
