Hard time pooping

Hi, I just recently got a 8 week old bichon puppy and since I got her she has been having a hard time pooping.

She starts crying really bad when she poops and I dont know what to do to help her.
suggestions?

I would try to increase your puppy's fluid intake and also her activity level. Both these things can help get the digestive system moving more quickly.

You can try adding a little bit of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling kind) to her meals, or even offering her a little milk to drink. Both of these things can soften her stools and loosen her bowels.

If she continues to have problems, I'd suggest contacting your veterinarian, he may be able to prescribe a mild laxative for her.

Don't try to give her any medication that hasn't been prescribed or recommended by a veterinarian though.
