HOW COME MY PIT BULL PUP HAS SWOLLEN EYES.

OUR 1 YEAR old blue nose pit bull, rozzie, has swollen eyes and a lot of puss flowing down the inside corners of her eyes. she is also expecting 8-9 puppies in a couple weeks.

what is this called and how can we slow down the puss or stop it all together.

Hi JimIt sounds as though your dog has an eye infection and it needs to be treated by a veterinarian right away. Left like this it will only get worse, may spread throughout her body (and potentially damage the puppies) or cause serious or long-term damage to her eyes/sight.

It could be caused by a foreign body in her eye, an injury, or an infection or illness of some sort. Only your veterinarian can make an accurate diagnosis so please get her to your own vet right away.
