Jackie,
I'm so glad that I could make it a little bit easier for you. Rotties are definitely robust and they're clumsy clowns when they're all paws and knobbly knees.
If possible, don't shout at her. Use a loud, firm voice but not a shout or scream. That kind of pitch tends to 'wind a puppy up' (any breed, not just Rotties). If you're consistent, firm and loving she'll turn out fine. You've brought up children, so you're already ahead of the game. Most people don't realize that all the same principles of child-rearing also apply to raising a puppy. They're kids too, just the furry, four-legged variety!
Look forward to hearing how it's going as she grows.

I dread the day my rottie challenges me. by: jackie
Thankyoy so much for your advise i feel alot better now, from your reply you know what you are talking about and to be honest it is great to get advise from an expert. I have been shouting at her eg i shout no when she got hold of a pair of trainers and my curtains she is very robust and clumsy she is lovely i can't help but love her i think what i am worried about is i will be too soft with her. She is so mischieviouse i have 2 children 9 and 14 and compared to bringing them two up they were a doddle, i know i have my hands full, but thankyou i will keep in touch i have lots of questions.
