It sounds like your puppy did die from Parvo..
When I was younger, we had a Jack Russel with Parvo, and my dad gave her a spoonful of Pepto Bismol, and it saved her life! If you ever have a problem like this again, and you think its Parvo, try giving them a little Pepto. Hope this helps.
