i think my dog is sick.....

hi i would appreciate if you can help me out. i have a 4 month old female cocker spaniel mix and just as of today when i woke up this morning she threw up some sort of white liquid and i was pretty shocked because i had never seen it before and she hasn't pooped yet which she usually does every morning...

i tried giving her food but she only eats her treats my mom took her out for a walk and when she came back she drank a little bit of water and right now she is trembling as if she's cold or something and yet she is not wet...she got her shots and two sets of deworming .....

so maybe you can help me out figure out what is going on with my doggy thanks a lot.

Puppy vomiting can be caused by all sorts of things... from 'dietary indiscretions' to serious dog illnesses, and only your veterinarian can make an accurate diagnosis.

An occasional episode of vomiting and loss of appetite that's the result of eating something they shouldn't can be minor and clear up on it's own within 24 hours. However, as your pup is also shivering that indicates that she's feeling very unwell, and could also be running a fever or in pain. I strongly suggest that you have a vet look at your pup as soon as you can.

I'm not sure if she's had all 3 sets of the combination vaccine given as puppy shots, but at her age I imagine she has. However, if she has only had one, or two, sets then she could still be at risk of the more common contagious canine diseases.

I wish I could help more, but this is a situation that needs to be evaluated by a vet, so please get her checked out asap. Best of luck, hope your little girl is doing much better soon.
