Is it normal for a puppy to throw up after his first shots and first deworming?

Is it normal for a puppy to throw up after his first deworming treatment, he also got dhlp vaccinations.

Many puppies have a reaction of some sort to their vaccinations - loss of appetite, lethargy, a low grade fever, diarrhea and even vomiting can occur as part of a minor reaction. More major reaction include swelling, hives, difficulty breathing and more. You can learn all about this on my Puppy Shots page.

Most puppies have worms and need to be dewormed regularly. These deworming medications can also cause tummy upset though, including diarrhea. Vomiting is more likely if there was a severe worm infestation, but can occur regardless.

Usually these symptoms only last a day or so and the pup doesn't seem ill, just 'out of sorts'. However, if your pup seems unwell or you're concerned, I would definitely recommend talking to your vet and asking his/her advice. You can never be too careful.
