is my puppy sick

i have a new born english bulldog and she falls asleep at the mothers breast after 5 minutes or so....is that normal?

Newborn puppies who are healthy and thriving spend all of their time either nursing or sleeping, often falling asleep while nursing!

It sounds to me as though she's doing just fine so don't worry. The time to worry is if a puppy won't nurse, spends a lot of time crying and/or seems unsettled or agitated.

A healthy puppy is warm, 'rounded/chubby', and content. You will probably find the information on my New Born Puppies page.
