Hi
Biting is a very common problem with puppies, and ALL puppies nip, bite, mouth to some extent. Certain breeds are 'mouthier' than others, and some more stubborn than others, and even within the same breed there are puppies who are more determined to nip than their siblings.
You'll find all the help you need to take care of this behavior on my Puppy Biting page. It's a behavior that can most definitely be stopped, but it takes time, effort, patience and a LOT of repetition.
Most puppies are at their most extreme in terms of biting/nipping during teething, and this can last up until around 6 months of age. After that it tends to slow down, but in order to stop it there needs to be consistent corrections.
Visit the page mentioned and follow the advice and suggestions there and your girlfriend's pup should soon be much better behaved. Good luck.
