My labrador doesn't have an appetite and when she poops it is all blood. I'm worried and don't know what to do.
I will bring her to a vet but the problem is we live in a province and it will take us a day to reach Manila. I wanted to give her a first aid so as not to worsen her situation..
Thank you very much for any information to treat her.
Hi Jay
In this sort of situation and with these symptoms your pup is most likely very sick indeed and absolutely needs emergency veterinary care.
Living so far from help must be very worrying and I hope that you can get her to a veterinarian in time.
If she won't eat that's not a huge deal for a day or two, but not drinking water IS. The best thing you can do for her while you are traveling to the clinic is to try to get her to drink water and keep it down. Use a syringe or spoon to trickle it into her mouth if she won't lap, but be careful to make sure she swallows it and doesn't inhale it.
If you can get an electrolyte solution such as Pedialyte which is made for babies and children who have diarrhea or vomiting, then you can also give her that as it helps replace the chemicals she's losing with the diarrhea.
I wish I could do more but your puppy needs to be examined and treated by a qualified veterinarian and I wish you lots of luck and hope that she makes a full recovery.
