Lethargic, skinny puppy, pooping a lot

We just bought a nine week old Viszla puppy that seems very skinny.

He's somewhat lethargic and still has two knots in his skin from the shots not absorbing due to no fat for absorption.

He also poops very often and not keeping food in him.

If this pup hasn't been well taken care of up until he came to you, it could be that the lack of body fat and diarrhea are related to poor diet and healthcare. It's also very possible he has a parasitic infection of some sort. Chronic puppy diarrhea in itself can cause health issues and should be evaluated.

I strongly recommend taking him to your own vet and having him/her give this little guy a thorough check up. He may need deworming also.

He may have some sort of dog food allergy or sensitivity which is making it difficult for him to absorb the nutrients from his food, do make sure you only give him a premium puppy food so that he gets the maximum nutrition from what he eats.
